Despite the royal “we” tossed around above, Technique is me. Robert Stribley. I'm a user experience design professional with over 20 years of experience. I work with brands big and small across diverse sectors to provide thoughtful and intuitive user experience design solutions. I have expertise as an information architect, interaction designer, researcher, strategist, UX writer, workshop facilitator, teacher, and manager.

Previously, I enjoyed agency life at Razorfish and Publicis Sapient in New York, NY. I worked with dozens of clients, including American Red Cross, AT&T, Delta Faucet, EMC, Nextel SA, Citibank, JP Morgan, Oppenheimer Funds, PNC, Prudential, Ford, Freightliner Vans, Genesis, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz USA, smart, Fresh Direct, Sotheby’s International Realty, Travel Channel, and Women’s Wear Daily.

I’ve spoken on UX design and conducted workshops for numerous organizations, and conferences, including Chanel, Publicis Sapient, New York University, University of Maryland, Design Museum Week, Hackers on Planet Earth (HOPE), The Internet Freedom Festival, SXSW, UX Sketch Camp NYC, and the Brooklyn Product Design Meetup.

I also teach user experience design at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.

Just a few of the clients I have worked with to create complex but intuitive and attractive user experiences.

Contact me to learn more about how I can help your organization craft effective user experiences.

I’m also available for mentorship and public speaking opportunities. I can also offer you a UX clinic to provide quick but meaningful feedback on your work-in-progress website, app, or other digital experience.

When able, I also work with non-profit and human rights organizations, sometimes at a lower rate or even pro bono basis.

What is “Privacy by Design”?

Did you know identity theft doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic? People have become more and more concerned about the privacy and security of their personal information online. That makes it increasingly important for brands—and designers—to be aware of the need to practice “privacy by design.”

With that in mind, I’ve produced this tri-fold brochure on the topic of “Designing for Privacy in an Increasingly Public World.” It highlights 7 best practices for privacy by design. You’re welcome to download it directly here. Or reach out to me, if you’d like printed copies of the brochure or you’re interested in a presentation to your company or organization on this topic.

You can also read a more detailed article version of this topic over on UX Collective: Designing for Privacy in an Increasingly Public World.
